Im looking to put a Mondeo servo onto my mk2 1.1 pop plus. What sort of Modification does the fiesta bracket need?

Also which mondeo is best to get it from? i have access to mk1 & mk2's, 2.0's, 1.8's and diesels. Or are they all the same?

Do i just need the servo, master cylinder and reservoir?

Any help much appreciated, cheers

The angle needs to be changed.
It needs to be angled up more.
Dunno how much by.

You need the servo, master cylinder and the res.
Earlier one's (none ABS) are better.

Jason.

I think the ABS one's have two brake line ports.
The None ABS one's have 4.

If it's still in the car, look for an ABS light on the dashboard.

instead of modifying the mounting bracket angle on mondeo servo to sit level i just used the original xr2 one, had to drill the 4 holes where it bolts onto servo by about 1mm then xr bracket bolted onto servo and back onto car level. easy  as for the cylinder your looking for the one with 4 pipes coming fron it and its usually shorter.

i've clearly been robbing people now (20+) modifying brackets to mount the servo properly :blub:
tp mount it properly you need to modify the brackets on the xr2, two reasons for this, one is to level the fluid reservoir, otherwise it tips forwards too much and can cause spillages and possibly allow air into the brake system.
secondly the pedal sits damn near on the floor with the standard brackets, not the right position for driving properly and too low to get proper braking.
ideally you want a non abs, although two way splitters can be bought cheap enough.
if you can find a cable clutch one, then even better, as otherwise you'll have to block off the hydraulic clutch feed from brake fluid reservoir.
pipes will bend round fine to fit and level sensor needs rewiring, just copy and join the wires from the original plug.

I will need to put pic of mine up as the angle on mine didnt change cause all i was doing in theory was unbolting 1 and mounting a bigger servo on the same angled bracket(just had to widen holes by 1mm), the distance from bulkhead to the pin hole on plunger and length of plunger sticking out back of servo was exactly the same so pedal sits exactly the same. I was however using a 1.6 diesel mount as that is what my donar car was so assumed it was the same as xr. i did find my engine mount was different too though.

Im going to have to back Sean up here, mine was awful on standard brackets so i did a similar modification to him on my mk2 xr2 brackets. The mondeo brake bars pivot point is further away so if you just hook the mondeo one straight up it doesnt move the right distance and can lead to the pedal sticking.
