Hi.
At last, after more than 5 years that the engine was at storage, i inserted it to the car.
The engine was completely rebuilt.
It's a 1987 5bearing Valencia (OHV) 1.3, engine code JLA.

Installed a Kent FastRoad (FST2) camshaft. http://www.kentcams.com/product-details ... T2-Sports/
Pistons were changed to flat (to increase compression).
i am about to finish the first 1000KM and then i will attach the 2*DCNF36 set (with the original SeriesX manifold).

Now i have to build a manifold.
I was thinking of a 4 branch tubular, 4->1 (to get a little more torque and less HP)
What should be the diameter and length of the tubes?
4X 1" into the a single 2" ?
and what length to the 4 branches?

Engine will not be a screamer, i believe i will not go above 7K (RPM) in any case. Maybe 6-6.5

I used this calculator with values:
http://www.wallaceracing.com/header_length.php

Stroke: (Inches) 2.97
Bore: (Inches) 2.92
Number of Cylinders: 4
Exhaust Valve Diameter: (Inches) 1.14
Exhaust Valve Opening Point: (Degrees ) 73
Exhaust Valve Duration: (Advertised) 290
Exhaust Valve Centerline: (Degrees) 108
Peak Power RPM: 6500
Volumetric Efficiency: 0.8

and this is the result:
Your Primary Tube Length is 35.48
Your Primary Tube Diameter is 0.82 inches
Your Collector Diameter is 1.39 inches One Collector

Thanks.

From what I've seen of 1.1 and 1.3 manifolds I'd say tgat was about right.

Without measuring. It sounds similar to the manifold parts I have.

If you have a tubular manifold for a valencia, could you please take the measurments?
no hurry.
* primary tubes length
* primary tubes inside diameter
* collector inside diameter.

Thanks!!

I don't.
I currently have a box of tubes with bends in them.
:/
