I am about to purchase EFI conversion kit as decided to not go with the bike carb route (which are in the for sale section) The kit contains a:

Escort/Fiesta 1.8/2.0 Zetec Inlet Manifold,
Ecu,
Injectors with Injector Plate,
Sensors,
Injector Rail with Wiring,
Throttle Body,
Crossover Pipe with Air Flow Meter M.A.F.

Can anyone expand on anything else that is required?

I understand i need an injection tank or external swirl pot.

Engine bay loom if it's not included. ( To match the ECU )
EDIS unit if it's an earlier ECU.

Ill have to hunt for an engine loom now then.

I believe the ECU is the following;

Escort/Orion 1.6 litre 16 Valve
93 on
Ford EECIV
93AB12A650AC
6918454
XEF3ABAC
AGED

How do i tell the difference between a early/late ecu?

:eh:

That's about as much as I know about that injection black magic.
Best suggestion would be to Google the ECU code and see what that says.

But if you are running a 2.0 and fitting 1.6 injection gubbins, it's going to be far from optimal.

What's wrong with the carbs?

Jason.

Hmm - I may give this a miss then lol - although i have been offered the following...

complete Ho manifold with 130 1.8 ecu ( 2fbc ECU) matching engine loom (Incl. EDIS module) plus crossover pipe and maf is £300 Good price?

Nothing wrong with the carbs, they just need setting up and nobody local to me so its standing still at the moment lol

With the kit above, I could potentially sell the EDIS and Megajolt with the carbs?
