Am I right in thinking fuel feed is 6mm and return is 8mm?

Also what size do I need for brake lines?

Looking at replacing all lines on the car

Fuel is 8mm, return is 6mm.

I can't remember the brake line sizes.

You can use an 8mm as a return.
Best on an injection system anyway as the return line is pressurised.

I have made up 2 8mm lines out of the PVC coated gas pipe that I will use on the festival.
I will just make a reducer for the carburettor side of the pipe as that is still 6mm.

Just be careful as the copper pipe stuff crushes very easy, so fitting a steel insert in each end my be wise.

Jason.

Thanks Jason, I've got some 6mm reinforced hose just testing its fuel resistance! I may not use copper then, just get flexible fuel hose

"Automec" do full pipe sets complete with ends for about £90 ..... Used them 2 or 3 years ago, pipes were cut to correct length ..... Or they will sell you a 25 foot coil of pipe for about £20.

Looking at this for the fuel feed

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272024452250

Thinking of running it through the car rather than underneath

Chris if you use that stuff and run it through your car will constantly stink of fuel. if you want to run it through your car and it not to smell of fuel you need teflon lines.

cos its not designed for inside a car in a confined space ,best place for fuel line is under the floor unless you are going rallying :cool!:

The rubber stuff will let a bit of fuel go through the wall. Can hive you a head ache after a while.

I used 8mm aluminium hard line inside the car. I didnt want to run it next to the exhaust and any other place under the floor is a lot more exposed to speed bumps.

Yeah as said it allows the vapors through, if you do what xr2000 suggested and basically use the chassis rail as a shield it will be fine :)
