I am putting the engine back in the escort tomorrow, its a zetec turbo.

I have:

An RST LUK 220mm clutch and matching cover
A Helix 215mm 4 paddle clutch plate and matching cover
No money to buy another clutch at this point in time

I fitted the helix before and it was f*cking horrible to use

Do I

Fit the LUK clutch and accept that its going to prevent me driving the car hard because it will slip
Fit the helix 215mm 4 paddle clutch in the 220mm LUK cover - has anyone ever done this?

I run a 4 paddle with an luk cover and it slips at around 250bhp/270ftlb

Was a bit more complicated for me as the center spline of my IB5 gearbox is 35mm. The LUK conver wouldn't fit over it but the helix one did, so I just fitted the complete Helix clutch.

I'm going to change the gearbox and fit the LUK cover with an AP 4 paddle, if its just letting go at 250 it should be spot on for my setup.
