well the final pair of strut tops have now been made and have been sent out for testing, the final weight was 39grams per side, im looking forward to seeing how they get on as they feel very very strong and the added kevlar has made a massive difference.

.....looking good Raj 8)

There is a place in Blackpool that test things like this - they tested the first of the carbon fibre wheelchairs that I manufacture.

I can get you the number if you need it.....wouldn't want you getting into bother if a part failed and you got taken to court

Bill :cool!:

cheers for that bill will keep that in mind.

these have already been load tested and over tightened, just waiting on the weather to dry then its going to hit a "private road" for some hard launches.

Already got a few orders for these which im very pleased with as I was worried it might be a bit of a flop lol

Also got the flock and started on the custom door cards you will be happy to know ;-)

Colour match is very very close

Been working on a new carbon fibre product for the fiesta mk1, its a carbon fibre dash plate which is a direct replacement for the standard binacle, it is made with a cored back plate which adds plenty of strength but is also very light.

Here is how I made it

If you drill the binical. Can you see the core material?

Jason.

?

of course you can, as when you drill you will expose the cross sectional view of the stack. But it is only visible from when you look at it from the side, as you are fitting a gauge or instrument where you have just drilled it is impossible to see any part of the stack leaving only the glossy front face visible.

Hope this helps

Ta.

Yeah. I thought so. Just wasn't sure. I haven't done anything myself with core materials yet.

How much for one of these with just pure cf? So no core material? Just thinking out aloud..
:)

Jason.

£90 delivered cored or no core, only saving a few minutes and resin usage is pretty much the same
