How does this work ? i mean i know you can run it at standard boost and then switch it to run at maximum.

Is it safe and straight forward to do and use is what i mean ?

Cheers, Bri.

so whats the script with shell?

on an ERST surely if its set up properly then 2 stage boost wont work or provide too much benefit - think it will just make it run rich....

fueling is done by metering flap opening, at about 8psi I think its fully open - so to get more fuel you ahve to turn the metering unit up - this richens it to a certain level across the board irelevant of boost.

the car should be set up to be safe and powerful at max boost - so therefore turning it down would be overfueling??!

Thats what i was thinking melv i was told once before its just a couple of wires and a switch , but like you say the car has to be set up for maximum boost etc so therefore if you switch it back to standard then that wont alter the fuelling.

:? :?

yeah getting 2 stage boost isn't complicated...

you can do it using the standard amyl valve wired direct to the battery to use as an electronic switch.... but whether its any benefit is a different matter.

probably worth it if you have a boost triggered 5th injector or something or efi - but to be honest I think its a bit pointless, if youre not thrashing just dont keep your foot in as hard... if you are thrashing? who wants half boost?!
