Cant remember for the life of me and haven't got any snaps.... but!

Imagnie the back of a S2 inlet manifold, there is the yellow plug at an angle, then nex to it there it one plug upright, then on the other side is a water pipe... Where does this water pipe go to.. I completely stripped it down to get it chromed and forgot where the friggin pipe goes!

If anyone has a pic of the back of it it would be most appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

The water flows OUT through this out of the head!

My car is stipped down a lot with the water system so I dont know about a genuine rst but I think it should go into the aux air device and then a pipe from the aux air devices goes round to return to the water pump via the rad to water pump hose!

Dave.

I think james has got it spot on here chris! If its a pipe which points straight down out of the inlet then it should be p[ointing straight down at the oil cooler inlet and thats where you pipe it to dude.

Trust me mate, Bomber just said the same thing too!

You have two lines as follows:

Thermostat housing > Oil Cooler > Heater Matrix > Y Join

Inlet Manifold > Aux Air Device > Y Join

Then the Y join connects to the front Water pump to Rad hose!

Dave.

P.S. The yellow plug you describe is the temp sensor! The other one you describe is brown and is your thermo time device! Above that is your blue cold start valve and the aux air device is black!

I dont know anything about these cars at all! :D

P.P.S. Do as Neiski and James say if you like but you'll end up with a hose bursting as you'll have water coming out the head and out the thermostat housing via the oil cooler with no where to go!

Uhuh thats the one, the only one because there is only one output of water from the back of the head!

Above is the thermo time device, left is coolant temp and above is cold start!

Above that is an other temperature sensor but god only knows what it does, its not needed and is wired into the ignition ecu!

Dave.

No wait! I just remembered it goes to the rocker cover! Driver side, you'll see it next to a big wheel, rubber belt and a big tank full of water! Connect it to there and it will be sorted! Dont forget to do it nice and tight with jubilee clips! ;)

Dave.

i thought out the top of the rocker cover was a pipe which then goes to a conical/or a breather, which then goes around the back of the inlet manifold???

Old age is a terrible thing.

So your memories going then?

BTW, when are you going to return that MR2 I lent you 6 months ago?
