the thing with A11 is aswell as not over cooking it i bet you'll have to make sure you get it spooled up properly, or you have to wait ages for the tubbie to spool up!

launching a FWD turbo is a pain in the ass - infact it becomes frustrating to see these NA cars pull away on the start - clio 172's etc, once rolling i can reel them in but often over a 1/4mile i dont get cleanly past them before the line.

EG me vs you Chris, (think that was your fastest or 2nd fastest run of the day, and my second fastest run.) you wasted me off the line, as in REALLY wasted me - and whilst i think i could improve my starts i dont think im THAT bad at it.

Guess its all about clutch control, slipping it etc as you need the turbo spinning but if you let it rip too quickly your in a whole world of wheelspin!!

hi lads
it is me
so dan your've got 6mph and 1/2 a sec quicker since we last spoke,
i think i told you i went to the pod in aug, got 14.4 @ 90 at 10psi but it blew a hole though no 1 piston at about 1/8 a mile and smoked the rest, hehe,
since then been wkin on cossie, but last week got hold of a rs b-end but needs a bore and +.5 pistons, so i'm gona get another 1.8 block and get a set of ross fodge pistons made to suit for 400 quid, which should sort it out, then i will be back joinin in the fun.

ps the way i found best is lite the wheels in 1st, change to 2nd, deck it, let it spin, then release till grips then feed it in accordin to the grip, that or lauch in 2nd, but is hard on clutch and box.

LOL @ Rolls, tis true, a royal pain in the ass to get right - my problem is im too scared of breaking stuff to go do endless practise runs on an industrial estate somewhere too!

Good to hear your still on with the TT Dan (and also the fiescos :-D) - sticking with the 1.8 like you said you would too! Your obviously doing something right to be getting the times you have done!
I was pleased with my times I got at national day, they are more like what i expected to get on the spec i was running. I've lowered the compression now and added a 4x4 cosworth intercooler so we'll see how it goes.....

yay chris is joining the fun again! :-D
