Has anyone on here fitted braided hosing and dash fittings to the block on a CVH?

Mine currently has the standard setup but I want to upgrade it. The union that the hose is clipped to is just pushed into the block so is the only way to fit a dash fitting to tap a thread into the block? I'm not doing that now if that's the only way, maybe if I strip the engine in the future

Oil switch as I recall is 1/4inch x18 npt.
( check - I'm not at home to verify it )

So you should be able to get fittings for that.

Jason.

Yeah the oil feed is no problem, if like to fit braided hose and dash fittings for the oil return on the front of the block

You'd need to tap the block as you say, not that I can see the point of it. Can get a proper samco replacement for the drain hose and just put it on the pressed in fitting for £20 and that'll last a couple of decades easily.

Yeah that's what I'll do then, wasn't sure if there was an easy way to do it, but yeah as you say it's pointless! I like the look of braided lines and dash fittings, cheers
