right the time is nearly there to get this turbo motor in the other fiesta, and iv decided to go carb turbo, mate has a hif44 I think. same as whats on his min turbo. now dizzy wise what has been done before? will h&h ignition be able to sort me a dizzy that is for turbo use as there different arnt they?

You need a distributor that's got a vacuum on it to alter the timing on positive pressure (boost)

Where you' get one from now I have no idea but they do exist.

Why not run it off Megajolt?

After all the faffing about of getting a saab dizzy vacuum module, and fitting that to the dizzy. Modifying the dizzy to change the advance characteristics... etc..
Fitting Megajolt would probably work out better.
Totally mapable and certainly easier to get your mitts on.

Yeah mines renualt 5 carb on xr2 inlet using a s2 engine with standard dizzy and uprated cossie coil mate, dizzy is standard. I havent got mine running yet need to figure out why still but been buying more bits lol

right ok. so just standard dizzy and that ems 5, liking the sound of this!
think im going su carb just as my mate has a complete turbo one.
what was that ems like to wire?

I have a few turbo parts that I'm trying to sell which might be of use,

EMS5 turbo ignition as mentioned in the above the posts, complete with wiring and instruction

I also have found this in my shed, i purchased it many years ago with a turbo crossflow engine which came with a box of spares, the part numbers check out as a fiesta distributor but the unit on the side is a saab turbo retard/advance vac, condition unknown.
