I've had the hubs off as I've been changing the tie bars and putting coilovers on.

Got it all back together and the driveshaft seems too short???

Never really looked at it before but I had driven it up the road and on my drive so must have been engaged if not all the way in.

Now the joint just slides off the shaft if you push it in.

Should there be in out movement on the outer joint? there isn't at the mo.

I bought the car in pieces, was a 1.1 auto (now fiesta rst), any chance these are auto shafts and too short for the bc box?

Took them out and turned out the outer snap ring and inner circlip on the gearbox side were both missing so it wasn't moving and compressing properly. Been some right shoddy stuff I've had to put right on this thing!
