Can anyone tell me how to dial in a cvh35 Kent cam. I only have standard cam pully as I only got the big valve head and cam today. Can I set it with a standard pully or not? And will it be ok to leave it set at tdc if i can't set it with a standard cam pully

Standard pulley will work but vernier will get it spot on.
Remember the ignition timing changes when you spin the cam out of phase with the crank.

I put big valve head on today with the cvh35 cam and standard pulley and it's running fine to be honest. Allot of people have said that the cam has to be turned 118 degrees but why? Won't this bend the valves? I have put it on the standard timing marks and it's running spot on to be honest..

the crank needs to be at 118 and the can at maximum lift on my cvh22 it was something like 115 deg and then just set the cam up so its at maximum opening then put the cambelt on with a vernier to set It right. that's what I did on mine and It ran perfect

course it will run fine with a standard pulley but to get the best out of it you want to fine tune it as with anything on a modded motor
