I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice,, I have a 36-1 trigger wheel and crank sensor set up on my mk2 fez turbo and as the wire doesn't have to go round to the gearbox I have about 3 foot of wire bundled into a ball... I was wondering if I can cut the wire down to shorten it to make the wiring a little neater? Cheers, matt.

Yeah that will be fine, obviously just make sure that its a good connection so use solder and also that the joint is waterproof with some heatshrink etc

A new ev1 connector is only pound or 2 from ebay prob easy to cut the end of and put a new connector on.

Yes!
Cut it at one of the ends and solder it.
Make sure it's sealed and earthed propperly.

Jason.
