Been playing with the cold start up/idle on the xr2 the last couple of mornings. Got it to start and idle cleaner but when first started if you blip the throttle it cuts out.
If left at idle for a short while to run for a bit, you can then rev it without cutting out.
Anyone had this issue? Think it may be the after start enrichment curve needs adjusted but thought I'd ask first.

That's what I had to do to prevent this on my MS'd Zetec. Do you have a wideband fitted?

Yeah mate, aem uego. Afrs look ok? Perhaps a tad lean to start with then richen up when running for a bit.
Sounds like I've answered my own question lol, I'll try adding fuel on the after start enrichment curve!

Yeah, needs to be rich while warming up, just like using the choke on a carb

What sort of throttle enrichment do you have on? Could be not enough fuel when you dab the throttle or not enough the wideband will only show if it continues to run. only way to find out is to throw more fuel at it in either fluid temp correction or in the throttle map. Mine was running very rich on start up and when i opened the throttle it reved cleanly because it actually leaned it out.

Its taken me ages to get the start up anywhere near a decent start and the throttle map is a 90%guess work and 10% educated guess.
