Hello guys I was wondering if anyone could help me I have a mk2 fez running ofab efi turbo. The engine is idling at around 2000rpm. I was wondering if anyone knew why it would be doing this and how I can lower it? Cheers... Matt

Think its anti-clockwise but dont quote me on that. I had the same on my s2 when I knocked whhilst messing about with it so just turned the car over and listened to the revs whilst twisting

Unplug the iscv and see how it idles, should idle at 750-800 rpm. That will be your base idle, then I would take the iscv off and give it a clean before messing with idle screws etc. Also check for air leaks.

Whe. I take the iscv off it just cuts out :/ it seems to idle right now until the engine gets warm then the idle speed goes up and down between 600 and 1500

Is it chipped? Standard injectors?. I had 1 a few years ago that would not idle with a 195 chip and beige injectors but would idle perfect with the chip out and standard injectors, it was down to.the co pot in the end.

It's not got the chip and injectors inn at the moment. It ran exactly the same with the chip before When I turn the co pot nothing happens so I'm guessing that's f*cked?

The screw on the inlet is to set the base idle only the idle speed is controlled by the ECU.

As said you need to remove the ISCV, set the base idle then plug the ISCV back in.

The CO pot is likely way out of range, especially if you've been winding it about a lot. You can get it back in range using a multimeter but to set the base CO right you need an emissions analyser.

Bottom line, OFAB/OFAC is an utter pain in the arse, had its day many moons ago.
