 Post subject: thinking of going zetec

As the title says really lol, thinking of going with a 2.0l black top zetec engine i got out a focus just wondering really whats best to go with setup wise? I.E ecu wiring etc. lol im running mfi rs turbo the now but want to change it all to run efi if i go zetec. Cheers

wouldnt happen to know best place to get one lol. plus do you know of best wiring loom to use or just make one up? I already have the mfi wiring loom in place could i use that and just rewire some bits?

You could buy it from somewhere like extra efi mate, that will come with a brand new loom taht you make fit.
The other option is to fit a ford efi wiring loom from a fiesta rs turbo or 2i and fit a ofam ecu from boostmonkeys which is what I'm doing.

The first option will be better as you get a brand new loom to start with but the second option is a better made ecu as its in oem quality enclosure.

I went with ofam as I already had ofab management fitted.

Rob at boost monkeys is working on an ecu that will replace the mfi system on rs turbos using the existing loom with a few alterations, mibbie worth waiting for that if you can?

Yeh that sounds good actually cause I'm not really in a major rush to do it I'm still doing interior on mine the now. So zetec is just an idea i have at the moment.
