Hi guys I've just got my xr s2 turbo running well I say running it's been stood for awhile now. The problem I'm having is it won't tick over or rev plus when I turn the key it's as If the engine is locking up some times as soon as it did this I left. Before I started I drained old oil out put fresh in it then turned engine over by hand loads of times to get oil where it's needed in the engine. What could cause the problems I'm haveing many thanks ryan

I had the same sort of problem mate I had no fuel coming threw the metering unit. The car was only running on the fuel from the cold start solenoid.. I changed all of my sensors fuel filter metering unit and everything mate and I gave up in the end because I couldn't work it out. I converted to efi the next week and everythink works perfect no plus its more reliable

Drill your block for TPS (engine has to be out)
Change the head or use an adapter plate for EFI injectors
Different inlet manifold and all sensors
Different flywheel
Add coilpack and EDIS instead of cool
Different rocker cover crossover pipe and boost hoses
Add complete FRST engine management system snd associated sensors

From memory of doing mine.

Won't really fix your problem but with the engine apart you'll likely find the problem along the way
