I was wondering is anyone could help,, I bought a mk2 fiesta popular for my first car last year as I'm only 19 and can't insure the xr2 and I made it into a xr2 replica. I got bored of the 1.0l engine as you do so I hav e decided to buy an rs turbo engine which cam with fuel lines, metering unit, gearbox, loom, ecus, everything needed realy... but I was wondering whether I could use the 1.0l driveshafts for a couple of weeks if they fit as I can't get my hands on an xr2 set. And what is the easiiest way around wiring it up. I Could do with all the help please :D thanks :cool!:

If you can't afford to insure a standard XR2 how are you going to insure a ERST-engine'd-1.1-on-logbook-XR2-replica? I would reconsider doing anything to your car before you've had some quotes on insurance.

I'll wait for a Mk2 person to tell you about the shafts.

Shouldn't be too hard to wire it in as the loom in your car is very basic which is a good thing.

You'll want the complete loom from the RS Trubo including all the fuel pump wiring with the pink relay and everything.

Been a good while since I looked at anything MFI, ironically it has a LOT more wiring than EFI.
