What type of hose can be used for this? Pretty sure normal stuff and silicon degrade through time if exposed to oil?
Need to make a new hose up for mine as the erst one is too short!

Teflon, ptfe, fluoro etc are all the same stuff. That's what you need.

The PTFE doesn't flex much tho so you need to have a close fit, eg it won't stretch much over a hard pipe that's slightly too big and if the hard pipe's slightly too small it won't take up the slack with a hose clip very well.

Ordered me one today and remembered this thread!

Be sure you use the original spring type clips that were on there mate, jubilees are what wreck these, the pipe needs to be able to swell with the heat from the oil and when they do that any kind of clamp that doesn't allow it to freely will cut into the hose.
