When using a BC box on a zetec block, do you use the bottom spacer/sandwich plate/guard used on the cvh?

I've got the top one on ok but the holes on the bottom one seem slightly off?

Pretty sure I read somewhere you only use the top one but can't remember?

Grant

The lower one doesn't take any load, it's just to stop crap going up into the clutch, flywheel and making a mess or causing damage.

I used both on mine.

The top one needed a piece welding in to cover the gap at the rear of the engine.
The bottom piece just needed the raised section cutting out as it fowls on the engine/sump section.

Found it.

Bottom plate. You can see where it was cut.
Top plate. I cut a small section out of the inverted 'L' part above the starter hole and welded a piece in on the other edge to fill the hole where the starter fits on the other Rear starter Zetec box.
