What bore exhaust would you recomend for a zetec turbo running a esc cos t34? Atm its gt housing an downpipe for 2.5" will this flow over 350bhp? Or is 3" needed? Max goal will be over 350bhp but nt more than 400bhp lpl

Gt chance of 3" stuff bit need advice first. Dont want 2 big exhaust of jot needed

Cheers

i got told 2.5" would do 400bhp and 3" will do well over 500bhp (some speculation as to 700bhp was made)

Would u stick with 2.5" then? I don't want overkill with exhaust noise etc plus cost of 3" aswell but if its needed fair enough. don't want summet huge am lose power or create lag or summet or slow spool up

Check the outlet on the turbo and get the next size up. I've got 3" on mine with gt25, you want the lowest amount of back pressure possible and this will give the best performance.

Lower the back pressure is after the turbo the better.

On an NA car exhaust size is more important, on a turbo you just want something big enough not to cause a restriction at high revs, this is taking into account any tight bends for downpipe etc.

You would probably be fine with 2.5" or 2.75" or similar metric sizes but 3" pipe was significanly cheaper when i bought mine and the downpipe was already 3" for an FRS. There seemed to be more choice of silencers in this size also.

3" will be fine, fitting silencers big enough to quiet it down is the next problem/cost, mine was daft loud all the time.
3" will not cause any problems, the turbo is the biggest restriction after all if the exhaust is bigger than the turbo outlet ;)

go the biggest you can afford/fit, anything smaller than 2.5" will cause problems, bigger will either free up a little power or ready you for the next stage in power where extra flow will help.
