What Mods and Admins can and can't do.
As I've been asked a few time what the Mods and Admins can and can not do, I thought I'd put this guide together.
Mods:
Moderators can only moderate posts in a section that they are a moderator of. The moderators name is listed under the section name to show who the moderators are.
Moderators can:
Edit an existing single message. Delete an existing single message. Move an existing thread. Delete an existing thread. Rename an existing thread. Lock and Unlock existing threads. Check IP and host information for each post.
Admins:
Administrators can do all the above and moderate all sections plus:
Split an existing thread into two new threads. See who's online and where they are on the board. Change the layout and function of the board. Prune posts in sections of the entire board. Add smillies. Ban users. Change users permissions and ranks. To Mod, Admin etc. See and change a users Profile.
What Admins/Mods can't do: See users passwords. See users Private Mail.
Jason.
