 Post subject: Racing clutch ???

hi everyone looking for a bit of advice, Im looking for a racing clutch for my mk2 xr2 and was wondering where I can get hold of them what make and price I should be paying for it, tried burton power but seemed a bit much but aint sure what they go for?

ne help would be wicked :D

What spec of engine are you running? As you may not need a high spec clutch kit if it's a mild, tuned up engine????

rs turbo clutch is a good starting place if its not mega powered.

just make sure its a good quality and it is the type suited to your gearbox and pedal (as in low lift type if it is that)

its my old cvh but with the addition of a proper exhuast system and 40's :cool:

like i said earlier, rst clutches are good for around 170bhp and heaps of torque so will be fine for your spec mate! i dunno wither theyll fit straight on that flywheel or not but rst flywheels wont be to expensive anyway. id imagine a std clutch wont be anymore than £50!

i am using a ap racing clutch... cost 125ish +vat... get em most places, ie demon-tweeks or burton performance...

not sure if these clutches are any good for the road use though, i'm using mine in my track car.
