All,
Need a picture of a Mk2XR2 from underneath. I need to get an Idea of how far over the lower engine bearer is shifted over compared to a Mk1XR2.

Could be the 1400 one, they used a completely different exhaust to the XR and lower-spec range. Ford only knows why.

interesting ;)

I had several mk2's but didn't realise it was such a difference !

I'm thinking of making my own engine bearer and gearbox mounts.

That is how I split my drive shafts when I did my conversion. I was able to use my existing mk2xr2 drive shafts. The bracket for the carrier bearing, how hard is that to get? :D

It gives me a real idea of how different my cast sump from the sheet metal one :x . I don't think I could get the exhaust to tuck in there even if I moved the lower engine bearer over, There is only~ 2 1/2" between the bell housing and the edge of the sump on mine, whereas on the sheet metal sump there must be at least 10" !

Right now the exhaust hangs below the sump which means it gets smashed on a regular basis arrrgh!
