Hi whats the best exhaust to make good power i got a bodged up and leaking exhaust at the moment and need something free flowing to help .
Car made 150bhp hoping for more i think the exhaust is holding it back abit
Just after some advice before i buy one and take it back to the dyno , just sorting the little bits out
Cheers

I ran a standard xr2 system. Then upgraded to a full Janspeed system.
I niticed a HUGE difference in power just from that one upgrade alone.

But Magnex stainless is supposed to be the best you can / could buy off the shelf.

I ran a standard XR2 exhaust (they only have 1 box anyway) and bolted it straight onto a Janspeed 4 branch manifold. That made a very noticeable difference. Well worth fitting a 4 branch in my opinion

I ran a 4-2-1 mani, standard XR2 exhaust but cut the rear straight pipe that’s normally a noise reduced and welded a 2inch pipe on. Power felt so much better smother, and the end change was a good sound through out the revs. Not chavish.

I used to have a Magnex Stainless. It gave good power gains just from that alone, but i was using standard manifold. I know a 4 branch would have given a lot more power
