Hi, any suggestions on what this knock could be? Ive checked the track rod ends and they look good,
Im hoping its common and an easy fix! Cheers

I would guess maybe one of the rubbers has fallen out of the steering column split.

Doesnt sound like a shock spring. Which can make a clunk sound if they break.

Ive checked everything I can see and all seems to be good so I am thinking of having my steering rack reconditioned, can anyone recommend anywhere to have it done?

Thanks

I have fitted a new steering rack and it is still the same,
Rubbers on the steering column are fine.

Any other suggestions??

Thanks

Check your Tie Bars to front Xmember nuts/bolts/bushes.

Also TCA/balljoints/bolts.

I had an annoying knock when turning the wheel and my front tie bar to Xmember bolts were loose!

Might sound obscure but do your indicators cancel

If the cancelling bush is missing or broken the upper column bush can move causing play and noises
