Hi everybody,

I own a '88 Mk2 Fiesta C with a Zetec Conversion project, and I would like to make adjustable rose jointed trailing arms.

First, Anybody know what are the benefits to do and install those arms instead of the OEM arms ?

Secondly, if someone had make this in the past, which tube diameter and rose joint you chose ?

Regards

Yanis

First thing I would ask is if you don't understand the benefit rose jointed items then what makes you want to do them?

Rose jointing is for race/hard track applications only, it will stiffen everything up and will allow for more finite adjustment in your car setup. I wouldn't recommend them for road use, they will put more stress on other components and make the car louder, more rattly and stiffer. For most people poly bushing is a far better idea

Yep.

I drove a rose jointed suspension xr2 a few years ago.
Fine on a track.
Not for a road car though.
Will drive you mad on a road car.

Rose joints do make the car feel very 'crashy', but everything is nice and crisp.

On an everyday car - don't do it, polybush it if needed.

Yep.
Polybushed the suspension on the festival.
Best handling fiesta i ever drove.
Better than my xr2 which is on a mix of new and older rubber ones.

Jason.
