Some say yes.
I fitted a bolt on one to the front of my xr2.
I noticed no difference.
Removed it later.
I noticed a difference of £40 in my bank account after I sold it.
The rear bolt on one's don't do much as they are connected between the shock tops.
Get a rear weld in one.. Makes more sense.
I didn't bother with a rear brace as I need a usable boot area.

May be it's something I'll do at a later date when I've got some spare cash and everything else is done, I know that the body will have a certain amount of flex and I feel it's probably more when the car has been converted to race spec and has full stiff race suspension and rose joints everywhere, so all the areas that normally would have a bit of "give" in them have all been tightened up so that give has to go somewhere, so that's when the shell takes it more, just my theory anyway.
Thanks for your thoughts again Jason.
