Hi all,

Sorry for all the questions, has anyone ever used these stick on chrome strip to go in the bumper and plastic side trims, I've recently bought some chrome tape to cover the original faded strip, now I've pulled them out the plastic trim and recovered a couple of them and if the strip is straight it's fine but as soon as it bends the tape won't sit flat (it does say on the instructions that a hair dryer can be used to form it to the strip but I've not tried it yet), I mainly wondered if the stick on strips stay on properly as the originals clip in all along the trim and tuck in the ends of the trim panel.

Cheers

Pete

A heat gun/hairdryer will soften the plastic and help it to change shape. It will depend entirely on the quality of the trim strip that you are trying to fit. generally these sorts of trim work fine if you overbend them in the correct place before fitting anyway.
