Hi all, I'm rebuilding a DFT 32 34 carb and wish to set the float level.
Haynes says hold top of carb vertical at ninety deg and let the float hang down and rest on needle valve. Then measure from underside of gasket to bottom of float.
Reading should be 34.5-35.5mm.
Webcon refurb kit says 8mm drill bit between top of float and top of carb surface!
Can anyone confirm what is correct?
I set it up at 34.5 and it's only about 5mm on the upper measurement!

Use the Fiesta Haynes ( ford ) settings.
The settings vary due to manifold and engine angles.
The Weber setting are usually an "optimal" setting.
