I'm after a little advice.

I'm going to have to do two boot repairs.
In the corners where they all go.
But. The drivers side has gone to the arb mount too.
Even through the double skinned part.
So I need to make that bit too.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do that part?
Or those who have done it before... Would you do it differently?

I've made the floor repair panels but need to make the double skinned part that mounts the outer edge arb mount hole and just under the arb mount.
So it's that part I'm looking for advice on.

I'll get some photo's tomorrow.
It's dark now and I've not put photo bucket on my new phone yet either.

Ta.

Jason.

OK.

I'm going to have to replace at least part of the double skinned part on the drivers side of the boot floor.
I can't patch up what's there in good concious.

The repair ideally should include the part where the boot floor bolt for the ARB bracket bolts to the raised part of the double skinned part.
To make my life a hell of a lot easier, I intend on cutting that section out. Replacing the double skinned area without the raised ( void ) part and just put the coach bolt in through the boot floor.
I can't see a reason why not to do it this way.

It's a repair on my XR2.
I'm not bothered about it looking factory. It's had many repairs in the past.
If it was the Ghia then that might be a different story.

I just want it to be strong and safe.

Jason.

Be easier if we had a pic of the offending area Jason :cool!: That void as you call it is a bugger to make alright but its usally not too bad where the coach bolt goes :D

Can't remember my bloody photo bucket password, so can't get it on my phone yet...
I'm gonna have to change it on all devices I think.

Anyhoo..
Yeah. I think it might be OK at that bit but I'm going to have to cut up near it and certainly right at the part where the arb mount is. I'd rather cut more out than less and risk missing some rust.. Done that before on the festival. :(

So I think I'll do it the way I said.
Card template made up.
Just need to cut it from steel.
Was going to do it today, but got a dizzy spell and didn't fancy using an angle grinder in anything but tip top mental / physical condition.
