Does anybody have a picture of the plug the standard fiesta ciggy lighter connects to? I can't recognise it as its been a while since I played with the fiestas wiring.

It's a two pin plug with two spade type recepticals in it.
One at 90° to the other one.

If you don't have one fitted. Very low spec cars didn't have one or the wiring...
.. You can use an inline fuse and two insulated spade recepticals.
Connect the wires direct to the battery. Just beware of running anything high drain with the engine not running.

Jason.

The car is a quartz but not sure if it had one fitted as standard, I was going to use the socket from a Mondeo mk2 but now looking at the mk1 socket in not sure, have you got a picture of what the bulb holder is like?

Can't see any sign of wiring to either illuminate the switch panel or power the lighter, dash back out time to add some wiring

My 89 bonus had a blank fitted in the dash but the plug was behind.
Single grey/yellow spade connector for side light illumination.

On the mk2 the connector on the left is the part from the radio loom.
The bigger black connector on the right is the loom main connector to the cig lighter.
The smaller one with the grey wire is the illumination wire plug.
