Mk2 1.1 OHV Fiesta engine.
5 or 6 bolt crank to fit the flywheel?

Pretty sure mk1's were 5 bolt.
I know the HSC/HCS whatever was fitted to the later Mk3's was a 6 bolt pattern.

But what about the mk2 1.1?
Any one know for sure?

Does it differ early mk2 to late mk2 1.1 engine?

Also.....
Does anyone know if there are any issues fitting a late OHV head to an early OHV block?

Thanky you..

Jason.

I can find out the first one..
But I have to move two cars and remove a gearbox to do it. :)

But yeah..
I don't know it all.
I couldn't even find the answer to the flywheel question in the Ford Workshop manual!
Was a quick look granted.....

Don't know if even Stu ( redexr2 ) would know either answer. He spent most of his time on xr2's. :)

5 bolt Jason.

Just checked my early Haynes and the piccy shows 5 holes and a dowel hole or something similar.

Thanks Dan.

I don't know why I didn't check that book myself.
I've got the early and later workshop manuals. The service manual and the Ford book. But only checked the ford book..
Doh!

OK..Strange then that the 1.3ohv unit I've got from the mk3 Escort is a 6 bolt piece. That's an 86-87 engine iirc.
Umm.

I wonder if Udical's 1.3 engine is the same?
Udi?

Jason.

Me neither Ross.
I only used it due to the 'Mk1 Guru' post and thought it would look amusing on the thread list.
:)

GURU.. Sounds like a 'modern trendy' glue.
"All new GURU .. Sticks anything to anything!"

It sounds alright as a glue, put me down for two tubes. Other accepted uses are a little shrivelled indian man who lives in a hut or the ECU code.
