I am sure I replaced my mechanical fuel pump last year. Managed to get all my wiring sorted and I am now not getting any fuel!!! Managed to get fuel up the line fairy easy by sucking it through. The pump appears to be weak to me and not pulling any fuel through. I am trying to get a new mechanical pump, with not much joy at the moment.

Can I run a small pressure Facet electric pump with 2.5 - 3 PSI pressure? Or do I need a regulator to go with it to slow pressure down. I will need to be using an electric rule pump when I finally get round to my turbo conversion so should I use a higher pressure pump with a regulator? All a bit confusing to me.

You can use a Facet pump but you will need a reg. You dont say what carbs you have so im assuming standard. If so id say around 1.5 - 2psi. 2.5psi is right for twin 45's etc.

With your turbo conversion, im not sure if your going down the carb route but you will need a high pressure electric pump for efi/mfi turbo. But you can use your facet if your going to be running an external swirl pot.

Hope that helps!

Old style carb = fuel regulation + return on carb.

New style carb = fuel regulation + return on pump.

Just buy a mechanical pump from someone like Burtons for the time being. Unsure if you'll need an electric one for your carb fed Turbo Technics setup tho. Surely it's the same pump but the turbo carb is jetted to suit as it's not a huge power upgrade.

Mine foes not have the return. Managed to get a new one with the return, can I just feed this back into the main return using a Y piece?
