Hi everyone,
I looking to get information and parts for my fiesta ohv valencia 1300.
(Well I say valencia but I read on Wikipedia that the mk1 1,117 cc (68.2 cu in)= Kent/Valencia and 1,298 cc (79.2 cu in) =Kent/Crossflow and the mk2 1,298 cc (79.2 cu in) =Kent/Valencia and other Fiesta-people say is not a kent it just shares some parts (which?!...)
Confussing yes... Maybe someone can shed a clear light on it for me?!)

I have read ALL the conversations(and learned already alot ) incl that the Weber 32 IBF as the 32 ICH are no performance carb ...1.But what is one..? so I have an other option !

“ They fit the Ford VV manifold, but idealy needs a spacer plate and a longer stud that you get with the upgrade kit.
But you 'can' do it without the spacer.” .:was one line in the text...
2. What can be the problem without it?

I do have also a (grazy?)plan to put a splitter on the inlet manifold (I just have to find someone who can fabricate that?!..)
So that I can have the two carbs together ,but Im wondering 3 A. Can that work?
B. MUST the carbs be of the same?
C. Could the head survive that?

And I was wondering ;If you just make the ports fitting and /or use a adapter-plate....
4 A.does it matter if you put an chv 4 branch manifold on it then (I think they have they same ports/space inbetween)
B and the same with......if I wanna find a new inlet manifold (maybe already with 2 carberators )

with thanx for helping me finger out what to choose and lots of interest I gonna read your replies!

Alex

I have bought a 1300 ohv mk3/4 escort engine.
Looks identical on the outside to the mk2 1.1 ohv.
I've not opened it up yet. But understand the crank differs.
I hope to use a 1.1 fast road cam in it. If it fits.

32ibf will fit the vv manifold without the spacer.
But unless you make a "dent" in the manifold where the throttle arm is, it'll get stuck on full power.

Two different carbs on the same manifold?
Why?
Two carbs.. Sure. Twin 36 has been done, even by ford.
Bike carbs have been done too.

Other carb?
Weber DFT from a mk1 1.3 with a custom manifold.
That's my plan.

Exhaust.
Forget the Cvh. Far too big and spacings are wrong.
Mk1 xr2 cash be adapted or make your own.
Weld plates available from Howard performance in the for sale section.

Jason.

I don't.
But if you can get the plates.
Supply these to a decent fabricator and they should be able to knock one up easily.

Im running my 1.1 with a custom inlet manifold running 2 x TLM 32mm Weber carbs so it can certinaly can be done.
All I needed were two standard inlet manifolds and a reciprocating saw.And of course a welder :D

On the exhaust i've built an offset manifold so your thought on using a CVH mani may work.
