Is this part available separately or is it only available as part of the service kit? Having a few problems with the pump as my car has developed a flat spot when I try and rev it which will only clear if I slowly increase the revs.

Yes.
A good Weber spares centre should have them in stock.
They are a standard size.

Try fastroadcars.co.UK
You might have to give him a bell.

Take the air filter off the carb with the engine off, pump the carb while looking down the choke. Youll be able to see what looks like a little tap pump a bit of fuel out just be sure before pulling it apart to change bits.

The little tap isn't putting out any fuel at the moment, is this a symptom of a bad diaphragm?

If it runs yes. Service kiys arent very expensive. Pays in itself back in fuel saved.

Replaced the little accelerator pump tap with one from a salvage carb and all is now good! Do these little taps open up so I can clean out my old one as a spare?

Dont think so. I would have a look into fitting a fuel filter and cleaning out the fuel bowl in the carb. Sounds like it sucked up something that blocked the nozzle.

As above.
Try blowing it out with an airline.

Yup!
The missus 1.1 runs two filters.
One in, one out.
Simply because it's easier to plumb in that way.

But it's a good idea to run at least one. :)
