right , we got kp's car runnin with out a swirl pot in it , takin the fuel from the top of the tank as normal but got the rst pump by the bottom of the tank in front , it sounds like the pump is strugglin for fuel , could be causin ouor misfire? ,

a few peeps are runnin with out a pot and i wondered how they have rigged their fuel pumps to the tank and where it takes the fuel from???,.

I took mine from the existing fuel pipe, didn`t touch anything on the tank. I just cut the pipe and put the pump in its place :)

The pump was put between the tank and back seat floor, along side the handbrake cable.

I had to make an adaptor so I could get the existing 5mm to fit into the 15mm(??) fuel pump tho.

I'd braze an pipe in my old tank, to run a fuelpump outside the tank. This pipe sat right on the bottom of the tank.

When the tank was 1/4 full, on a roundabout, it just died, cuase it sucked up air.... engine stalled.... got fuel... fired right up.

Got fed up with this all, so bought a 1.4 I tank with internal swirlpot... hope this solves it...

It's not bad to pick the fuel from the top, aslong the pipe runs pretty colse to the bottom...

Good luck !!

Martein
