 Post subject: Zetec Flywheel & clutch

doin the Zetec conversion an i read up on ere that you can use the 16/1800 Flywheel & clutch but the spline is well tobig i no i have got the earlyre gear box do i need to put the later 1 in

No, whould fit fine.... - you use either a 1.8 zetec flywheel, o drill out the bolt holes on a normal 1.6 cvh flywheel...

ive got the 1.8 130Ps Zetec an the spline on my gear box is to small an the thrust bearin needs to be bigger. my clutch is only about 190 not the normal 220 ive got the earlyer box

fit the 1800 flywheel then with 220 mm clutch and you will be fine,.

yes- you need to drill the flywheel holes (that mou8nt it to the crank) out by half a mm or so IIRC...

Use a CVH one as it's a good bit lighter than the zetec one, but watch out if your using injection & not carbs.

As you will need a CVH EFi one (with the timing marks on the back of the fly)

Could someone use the 1.4CFi flywheel for a zetec conversion?? Is it the same as the 1.6 EFi one??

Yes you can use the 1.4 CVH EFi flywheel, but again, you'll need to drill the bolt holes out a tiny amount.

And the 1.4 flywheel is a 200mm diameter (like Series 1 RST)
