ive got a spare silver top that needs a rebuild, and ive got a set of black top pistons and rods

can i put the blacktop pistons in the silver top block as they have a lower compression height it would make is lower comp.

has anyone done this and do they know what the new compression ratio will be? im aiming to run about a bar of boost and wanted to avoid a decomp plate if possible.

I understand it will work.
But you have to combine a mix of silvertop and blacktop parts.
Blacktop pistons with silvertop rods.

You may need to do some additional machining.
Best to Google it.
It has definitely been done before.

Jason.
