So is the Zetec se the blacktop and
The Zetec e the silvertop?

Reason I ask is Ashley exhausts have options for both se and e for mk1 xr2 manifolds for Zetec.

Next question are they any good from a fitting and performance point of view?

Or do I stick with getting a custom manifold done as planned?

Cheers
Phil

Se is the "puma" lump. Intake at the front.

S is the "silvertop".

R is the Black top.

Hope that helps.

Jason.

Yes it does thanks, so none of the Ashley manifolds would be any good then I guess.

Zetec-S is the earlier Zeta type engine. Escort, Fiesta 89-96, Focus 1,8 and 2,0 -04, Mondeo -00. Black top engines were introduced when the Focus was launched and used for Focus and Mondeos. Black rocker cover, solid tappets and minor changes on internals.
Zetec-SE is - as mentioned before - is the later type Sigma engine with inlet in front

Zetec-R is the Formula 1 10-cyl. engine ;)
