Basically out of the two types of esc i can run on a bike carbed zetec in a mk2 - if i bought one for air and water sensors where would i / would i need to connect the air sensor?! I know the water has to be plugged in and thats fine, i have a late escort top hose for that but, if i buy one for 2 sensors do i really need the air one connected in ? Will it still work or should i hold out for a 89 type esc? Thanks in advance :)

I had one of those on my zetec xr2.
I put a hole in the bottom of the k&n and screwed it into there.
Never tried it without the sensor.

Personally. I'd recommend you sell it on and get megajolt / nodiz / Omex etc instead.
Mine didn't run great on ESC and was lacking power top end compared to my megajolt install.
ESC is a compromise anyway. Doesn't use the full potential of a zetec engine.
I'd only use it on the engine it was designed for really.

Couple of years ago. ESC units were cheap. Not any more, so I see it as false economy fitting one now.

Oh.. And the water sensor needs to go into the top of the thermostat housing.
The escort top rad hose is for the fan switch which is a 22mm thread. Too big for the water temp sensor.
It's also behind the thermostat, so you wouldn't get an accurate reading from it.

Jason.
