Hey guys,
I'm going 1.8 zetec in my mk2 and all I've got left to sort is clutch really,
I have a mk3 5 speed that I am hoping to use just wondering what clutch / gearbox and starter combo can be used and what people do use and suggest?
My mk2 is 1.1 Festival and was wondering if the starter can be used?

Cheers all!

What flywheels are you running ?
Is it the one from the 130bhp escort ?

If you use a front starter box and smaller flyeheel .. Not the 130 one, you can use the 1.1 starter. Exhaust dependant.

Clutch depends on the flywheel.
So match the clutch to the flywheel.
I'm using a 1.6 efi mk3 fiesta flywheel and rst clutch.

No big g, I have that flywheel but I'll be using a lightened CVH efi flywheel.

RST clutch seems to be the most popular choice cool thanks Jason

And I have a 4-2-1 Ashley exhaust mani any ideas if the 1.1 starter will be ok?

1.1 starter should work fine im using it in my zetec mk2.
also have a ashly mani . starter will suffer from heat soak
though unless you shield it in some way. mani wraps right round starter

I wrapped mine in heat reflective tape.
Starter..

Was a new high torque one when I did it and has been faultless so far.
