So,
i want to fit my water temp sender to the cylinder head temperature mount in the head just under #1 inlet.

It is not npt as the pitch etc is wrong and its not a tapered fit sensor that has been removed.

The sender i have removed looks to be m10x 1.5 however an m10 x1.5 bolt will not screw in and an m10 x1.5 tap goes tight as if the thread pitch is slightly off (not m10 x1.0 for sure)

Does anyone know for sure what the thread should be as standard for this sender? Last thing i want to do is re thread it and end up with a leak or worse because its wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help

That sensor measures the actual cylinder head temperature on the focus.

Not the water temperature.

You do better having the temp sensor on the thermostat housing.
