I used the complete loom just changed the ends for lights ect i made my own mount and the gearbox im running is a mk3 fiesta rs turbo with a lsd fitted i had to drill and tap new holes and cut new starter motor hole.
Had it in and running for 2 years and done santapod twice still going strong .
We have also done this to a mk1 fiesta , not a lot of room

Well this is spooky, I bought a red 02 plate 1.7 puma this week for £375 with a very good engine and am seriously putting it into my mk2 XR2 project, but I haven't got a clue where to start. Standard CVH stuff and I'm the man, but this zetec magic is the devils work.

Ive had a Puma 1.7 in my Mk2 for a while now. I used a Mk1 Focus gearbox with cable shift and hydra clutch.

But you can see i have made mounts for both the gearbox and engine to fit them and done away with the cradle.

Im using aftermarket management to run the engine as mine is turbo. You can use the XR2 shafts as long as you get the diff in the same place as the original gearbox.

Im using the 1.4 version, i cut the mount brackets from the donor shell and used them to fabricate new ones in my mk2, like jhot I've ditched the cradle, I replaced it with a piece of bent tube to give some support to the towing eye.

My ECU is an aftermarket one comes with an a wiring guide but only about the ECU.

Wiring up the standard ECU will require the pin out for the ECU and a lot of head scratching.
