i found a thread the other day but lost it and now cant find any info again :wall:
Im fitting a focus rs engine but also have a normal 2.0 blacktop im using as a mockup. i have an alloy sump from a 1.6 escort silvertop, also the baffle plate and pickup pipe, is there anything else i need from the 1.6?
baffle mounting bolts?
do i need the silvertop dipstick and tube?
whilst im asking questions i also got a cast alloy PAS bracket and aircon/alternator bracket from the same engine, should i try and mount the alternator on the pas bracket?
anything else i will need besides 1.8 flywheel?
can i use the standard plastic inlet manifold? (2.0 and RS are identical) or do i have to use an alloy one?

pas bracket is the same as this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALLOY-BRACKET ... 1668405629

Use the blacktop sump/focus rs sump, need the 1.8 flywheel, use MK2 XR2 Alt bracket and alternator, needs slight trimming unless its going in a MK1 then I have no idea what alt setup to use. Plastic inlet will not fit you need a metal one

Sorry, i should have mentioned its going in a mk1, thought i cant keep the focus rs sump for whatever reasons?
ill see if my mate can make up a stainless one for me so its nice and smooth inside unlike the cast alloy
