Hello everyone I'm new to this so go easy lol

I've been offered a 1.8 zetec with Ecu and loom from a 1995 mondeo at a good price with 33k on the clocks.

What needs to be done to fit this engine into a mk2 fiesta xr2?

Any help will be very grateful!

Thanks everyone.

Being a Mondeo, it has the wrong sump.
So you need a 1.6 or 1.8 escort or fiesta sump and pick up.
If it's an automatic, you need to change the flywheel and cps mounting cup for manual ones.
1995, it'll have pats. So you need the key and pats ring.
Then everything else related to a zetec install.
Engine mount, top and bottom radiator hoses.
Best bet.
Have a search through the zetec forum and in the faq section.
It's been asked a million times.

:)
Welcome.

Jason.

im using the mondeo sump
I used a Ashley four branch manifold that is designed for the mk2 zetec conversion .

That's interesting as I'm looking to go 2.0zvh.

wouldn't work with zvh as you would be using the cvh head. manifold is zetec bolt pattern .

Late to the party I know, but....

The Mondeo sump has the 'sump' bit beside the gearbox, like this:

And the Ashley manifold AFM126 will hit the Mondeo sump as you can see in the picture that it bends towards the gearbox.

So, to use the Ashley 4 branch, you need a Fiesta/Escort sump.
