Can anyone who has done an ST170 conversion to a MK2 Fez please speak up , I need to pick you brains and ask a few questions about how you got around the VVT sensor hitting the bonnet

Did you space the engine down a little?
Cut the bonnet a touch?

Space it down would be easy. Engine mount would need to a cut and shut job

is this something you'd be able to do for me?

I have a spare mount I could send over , would my vibra technic mount /insert still be ok to use?

If you can get away with cutting the braces on the bonnet do that, if not run the bonnet raisers.

Lowering the engine will be ballache with cradle spacers, modifying the mount...been a long time since I looked in a fiesta bay but you might get hassle with your alternator hitting the cross member and sh!t like that too depending on how much space you have in a fiesta?

totally forgot about the alt  , from memory on my last one, i didnt have alot of room to play around with

im going to look at cutting the bonnet brace this eve and see how much space that gives me as i'd prefer to do that! I'm getting a fibre glass bonnet a bit later on as mine is rusted to sh!te on the corner

I cut away all the insides of the bonnet, you have to a little for the cam pulleys/cover anyway.

Easy to modify the mount and cradle.

Done it many times in different cars, one was my Orion with Zetec engin in for ITB clearance ( 1 inch ) and the other is my Audi S3 just so I could get the bloody big turbo under the bonnet ( 1/2 inch )
