Just wiring up my omex today on the thermostat housing I have a square plug sensor on the front beside the thermostat cover, also on the top I have a round plug sensor, I'm thinking the square plug is the cts sensor for the omex and the round plug is possibly the fan switch from the focus it came out of. Any help on which sensor is what?? Thanks in advance.

Unless the blacktop differs from other zetec..

The one in the top is for the engine management.
The smaller, lower one under the bypass pipe is for the dashboard.

The fan switch is usually fitted either in the top rad pipe or in the radiator itself.

Jason.

The blacktop came in the mondeo and later in the focus, and there are a few different types of thermostat housing. The omex cts plug should connect to the top one which is the one I used. The omex 600ecu controls the fan, the front plug is just left disconnected.

It was the top plug but I can use the bottom one once I get an xr2 temp sender to replace it.
