What flywheel do I need for an rs1800 on a CVH box
This is to run off a nodiz pro ignition so I need the correct amount of teeth on the back for the crack sensor to register with it!
Iv got a mondeo zetec one in it just now but it's not sparking in the correct order due to the teeth not matching on the sensor

Thanks

Mondeo Zetec one should work if you managed to get it fitted with the CVH box. Are you sure you dont have an Automatic CPS Sensor and Holder fitted?

Was the engine from an automatic?
If it was, the cps holder doesn't point at the cut outs on the flywheel.
So it won't spark.

You don't "need" an CVH EFI flywheel so watch with bad info - Any Zetec flywheel will work, however most you wont fit inside the bell housing of the BC box.

What exact flywheel do you have? I don't think you have a mondeo one as they don't really fit in the BC box.

If you are getting spark id say double check your leads as they could be in the incorrect order.

Maybe that was why I put a question mark at the end.

Unless you are using a trigger wheel, you need an efi flywheel.
It has to have the cut outs on the rear.

When I say efi flywheel, I mean standard zetec or cvh efi.
A standard cvh none efi flywheel won't work unless you use a trigger wheel.

Check if the wires are on the coil pack plug the right way around.

Jason.

I meant to write CVH EFI flywheel - As long as you have a zetec flywheel you are laughing. Some people use the CVH EFI one as its easier to get hold of or they have one, however its not bolt on out of the box as you have to elongate the holes slightly.

It reads as if your telling him he needs a CVH EFI flywheel, which can cause people to look for problems they dont have. Best to not say anything if your unsure yourself surely?

Mans only Tryna help.

It was said as a question as I was waiting for someone to confirm or say no.

I have an efi on mine, thus saying it.

Don't elongate the holes on a cvh efi flywheel.
You simply make them bigger. By either 0.5mm or 1mm. I can't remember. I did have to buy a drill bit to do mine.
The zetec flywheel bolt is slightly bigger, not offset. So no need to elongate the holes.

People fit the cvh efi flywheel because it's lighter than a zetec flywheel.
Similar weight loss to having a lightened zetec flywheel.
So 'was' cheaper than having a zetec one lightened.

Jason.

I'm using a stand alone ignition so I need the cut out on the back! Witch I have got but I was thinking if there isn't the same amount of teeth on it!
My leads are defo correct and it's getting petrol!
Just back firing on turn over that made me think it's sparking at a different time

If you have a ford zetec or even cvh flywheel it will be 36-1. You 100% the leads are on correct?

Have you set the settings on nodiz right for the crank sensor? e.g is it 36-1 and not 60-2? Did you build the loom yourself? Is the wiring correct?

Have you plugged into the laptop? Is there a base map on the ECU?

As above.
Sounds to me it's either set to the 60-2 setting or the coil plug wires are wrong.

Jason.

If it's anything like megajolt, you plug one end into your PC.
The other into the nodiz.
Download their software onto your PC and away you go.
